Yoshihito Nishioka is one of Japan’s exciting up-and-coming young talents. He reached the semifinals at the US Open junior tournament in 2012 and held a 113-49 win/loss record in singles during his junior career. Going pro in 2014, he has picked up a number of challenger titles and has started to appear regularly in the main draws of Grand Slam tournaments.
In 2016, he moved up into the Top 100 for the first time and won his first ATP Title at the Shenzen Open in 2018. He defeated his country’s idol, Kei Nishikori, for the first time at the 2019 Western & Southern Open. In February 2020, he broke into the Top 50 and achieved a career high ranking of No. 48.
